Box Blind Placement
Skid steer or tractor used to move large blinds into position — through timber, over rough ground, or into spots that can't be reached by hand.
Elevated Platform Installation
Elevated blind platforms built and set — whether you're mounting a box blind at height or building a shooting platform from scratch.
Access Trail to Blind
Trail cut to your blind location so you can get in and out quietly, and get equipment in for future maintenance or repositioning.
Site Prep & Leveling
Ground leveled and prepped at the blind site so it sits solid and drains away from the structure — no listing, no rotting floor, no water issues.
Permanent Foundation Pads
Gravel or compacted pad set under blind locations for properties that want a permanent, stable, year-round installation.
Blind Repositioning
Already have a blind in the wrong spot? We move it — same equipment, same approach. Sometimes the wind changes and so does the strategy.
Get Your Blind Where It Needs to Be
A lot of guys end up compromising on blind placement because they can't get the equipment in. The right spot for hunting is often in the timber, over a pinch point, or in a place that's hard to reach by hand with a heavy blind. That's a job for a skid steer or compact tractor — which is what we run.
We've placed blinds across a lot of different terrain in Southern Illinois — creek bottoms, hardwood ridges, field edges, and brushy transition zones. We know how to get there without tearing up more than we have to, and how to set them so they're solid and positioned right for the shot angles that matter.

Frequently Asked Questions
What equipment do you use to place box blinds?
Skid steer or compact tractor with forks or bucket depending on the terrain and the blind setup. Most large box blinds — the 5x6 and 6x8 sizes that are common on managed properties — are well within what a skid steer can move, even in rough terrain. For tight timber situations we work carefully to get in without blowing out more than necessary.
Can you build an elevated platform for a box blind?
Yes. We can build elevated platforms to set a box blind at height over a food plot, field edge, or pinch point. Platform height and construction depends on what you're hunting over and what shooting angles you need — we talk through the setup before we build.
How much does hunting blind placement cost in Southern Illinois?
Blind placement cost depends on site accessibility, distance to haul in, and whether site prep or a platform is needed. A straightforward blind move to an accessible location is a few hours of equipment time. Tight timber work, platform builds, or significant trail cutting to reach the site adds to the scope. Call 618-417-7381 and describe what you're working with.
Can you cut a trail to my blind location at the same time?
Yes — and this is usually the smart way to do it. Cut the trail, place the blind, level the site, and done. Combining the work saves mobilization and keeps the site disturbance to one event rather than two. We can quote the full scope together.
Do you handle semi-permanent or permanent blind setups?
Both. Semi-permanent setups are blinds placed on the ground with leveling and some site prep — moved if needed. Permanent setups involve a compacted pad, elevated platform, or post-set foundation — meant to stay put for years. We do both depending on your preference and how confident you are in the location.
